Levi Jr. was about 9 or 10 years old at the time. My brother Jamie had allowed Levi to ride his tractor around his place for a while because that's what you do with energetic young men... you give them a tractor with a front end loader and box blade and then you tell them to move some dirt around. Well, Levi Jr. certainly did that. After we left, my brother was using his tractor when he noticed the words "LEVI IS COOL" carved into the plastic steering wheel of the tractor. Probably with a pocket knife. Levi had left his mark.

He would go on to write that in many conspicuous and inconspicuous places such as the foggy mirror in bathrooms, the dust on the back of a car window, or BBQ grill. I've even seen him write it backward on the inside of a window so as to be visible from the outside. It became a neat thing to see on my tool box or pickup truck door or who know's where.

Since it was such a prominent part of his persona, I created this image and turned it into a sticker. The handwriting is his... I traced it from a picture that my brother "Uncle Jamie" took of his BBQ grill with Levi's finger drawn words in the greasy dust. The Sillouhette is also Levi. It's actually another shot that his Uncle took of him while he was branding a calf on Jamie's ranch in Deming, New Mexico.

This image reminds me of his calm coolness, and his amazing life. I love him and miss him terribly. He brough such Joy to Juli and Me as well as his Uncle and all who knew him. He is now in Heaven and we will meet again. Amen.

Flying is Fun!

https://www.levinoguess.com/levi-is-cool/flying-is-fun

https://www.levinoguess.com/levi-is-cool/flying-is-fun#comments

Uncategorized

This is an old picture of my Mom, Dad, Brother Jamie and Me when I was about 5or 6 years old. Daddy was just getting ready to fly to Colorado for a hunting trip. I believe he was going with Jim Menzies, or Buddy Speck who likely took the picture.
